The Arab World
“The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.”
(John 1:5)
A BRIEF SYNOPSIS
The Arab World is a region that stretches across north Africa and into the Middle East. It has a rich cultural, historical and religious heritage.
Across Arab nations, a hunger for spiritual Truth is spreading faster than ever before – but not without resistance. The greatest need is for people to encounter Jesus, to see His splendor and majesty, and to follow His words of life.
Carefully, boldly we plant our seeds and spread the Light of the gospel into the darkness. For we know that “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5
HOW CAN WE PRAY
- Ask the Lord to make believers in the Arab World as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves. Pray they stay in step with the Spirit and attune to His promptings.
- Pray that God will open doors of ministry that no one can shut and that, “All those the Father gives will come to [Jesus.]” John 6:37
- Pray that whole families and communities would come to faith in Jesus at the same time so there would be no division, but only unity and rejoicing in the ways of our God.
“THEN A VOICE SAID TO ME…”
*Travis and *Lisa arrived at the party, which was already in full swing. Soon they were settled, Lisa inside with the women and Travis outside on the patio with the men.
When one of the Muslim men asked if he was a Christian, Travis answered, “I am a follower of Isa al Masih (Jesus the Messiah).”
The man smiled and said, “I want to tell you about my dream: I was in a beautiful bright green field, walking towards a brilliant and sparkling light. It was so bright I could not look at it directly. As I approached, I looked down, shielding my eyes from the brightness, and I began weeping.
