CHurch planter in India
Day 25: A Muslim Woman Becomes a Church Planter in India
And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord. Luke 1:45
Islam teaches that men and women are equal before God, yet cultural traditions in many Muslim-majority societies often limit women’s rights and opportunities.
Today, Muslim women are challenging those barriers and reshaping their communities. Recognizing their value and potential, they are stepping forward as leaders, innovators, and influencers.
In Pakistan, five women were recently appointed to key cabinet positions. In Saudi Arabia, women can now travel freely and share public spaces with men. They are joining the workforce in growing numbers.
From the first Muslim female superhero in a Marvel film to athletes competing internationally in their hijabs, Muslim women are finding a new place for themselves—and transforming their world.
Take for example, Javeria, a Muslim-background woman from North India. Javeria met Jesus through a Discovery Bible Study, after disciples visited her village. When her son Abbas fell gravely ill, believers prayed for him—and God miraculously healed him. That miracle transformed her entire family, leading her other children to faith.
Though she faces harsh opposition from her community and pressure to renounce Christ, Javeria remains steadfast. Despite having little education, she has planted seven house churches, mentors three new leaders, and now oversees three generations of disciples who are boldly multiplying God’s kingdom.

- Pray for opportunities to learn and grow: Pray that Muslim women have access to education, mentorship, and resources that help them develop their gifts and potential.
- Pray for boldness in influence: Ask God to empower Muslim women to positively impact their families, communities, and workplaces, modeling integrity, wisdom, and faith.
Pray for supportive communities: Lift up networks of believers and safe spaces where Muslim women can experience encouragement, discipleship, and friendship in Christ.
