NUGGET TRAINING: Count It All Joy – Perseverance in Suffering
December 16 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Jesus knew He was in the last week of His life when He made the statement above. He knew He was about to willingly lay down His life, and that his death would bear much fruit. He knew the principle He stated was true for His followers as well – both those surrounding Him to whom He spoke, and those who would follow in later centuries including us.
It is an unavoidable but too-oft-neglected principle of Kingdom movements: Death is necessary.
Physical death is not always necessary, but death to self is always necessary. Dying to our own dreams. Dying to our own preferences. Dying to our reputation. Dying to comfort. Dying to security. Dying to personal safety. And being willing to die physically.
Do you REALLY want a movement? The reality is it will most likely involve suffering and great personal cost.
Join us on December 16th at 7 pm (CST) as we dig into God’s word on this important topic. We’ll hear some stories of how other disciple-makers have persevered and how God’s glory spread among the nations as a result.
